Accessibility
At Tengbom, accessibility is about respect. Living with a disability is a natural part of human diversity, and how limited a person feels in daily life often depends on how the surrounding environment is designed.
Accessibility applies to our entire built environment, from homes to public spaces and facilities. An estimated ten percent of the population has some form of disability. Add to that individuals with walkers or strollers. Environments that are accessible and functional for people with disabilities are better environments for everyone. Several of our architects at Tengbom are Certified Accessibility Experts, bringing specialized knowledge to ensure compliance with accessibility regulations. With extensive experience, we design solutions that not only meet accessibility requirements but also enhance the overall experience.
Close your eyes and think carefully – is this place truly for everyone?
Tengbom undertakes all types of accessibility projects, including drawing reviews, design support, accessibility statements, existing environment assessments, improvement proposals, and final inspections.
